We first opened in April 1999!
As family owned and operated garden centres, community and knowledge are at the very heart of what we do. Our Director Edward Boult purchased the site, home to our first Centre, Tenterden Garden Centre, in 1999 and has been driving the business forward ever since.
We believe in supporting local and UK businesses as much as possible, from locally sourcing produce for our Coffee Shop & Restaurants to working closely with UK nurseries and growers, to select the very highest quality plants & shrubs for you.
Our comprehensive range of garden and cane furniture is one of the biggest in the South East and allows the opportunity to try before you buy – which to us, is the most integral part of the purchasing process. There’s even a coffee shop & restaurant to relax in afterwards not to mention children’s play centres and Aquatic Centres at Tenterden and Canterbury.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Recycling
As a business we have eliminated plastic carrier bags and are moving towards paperless processes and systems. We work hard to reduce our wastage and recycle all our cardboard and plastic waste, where possible
Timber
We take responsible sourcing of timber very
seriously and that is why we select suppliers that source materials from well-managed credible sites
Water
As a business 30% of our water is recycled from large underground water tanks and we have begun installation of water reducing
technology in our public toilets.
Our Events
We understand the costs involved in running a family. That’s why we aim to keep our family fun day events as affordable as possible. We believe our events are worth their weight in pocket money! Keep an eye on our website or social media channels for the very latest information.
What our lovely customer have to say
We recently purchased four sets of the Bramblecrest Mont-Crest modular corner fire pit sets. We are very pleased with the quality and also the service provided by Tenterden Garden Centre. The new furniture is providing our customers with a wonderful place to sit and savour our wines whilst overlooking our vineyards. The fire pits not only warm the surroundings but add a lovely backdrop to the view, especially in cooler evenings.

Trisha was always very friendly when I phoned her and could not have been more helpful. I would like to thank her for all her help. She really is a credit to the team of staff at Tenterden Garden Centre.

“ I felt I should write to say how much we've enjoyed our cooked breakfasts in the cafe prior to the lockdown. They have they been absolutely delicious, and good value for money. The staff at the counter were lovely - friendly and smiling - and so were the waiting staff. We have had breakfast in the cafe on several occasions and have never had to wait very long. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Let's hope we can make a return visit before too long..”

“ We visited today for breakfast, one of the best I've tasted. Sat watching the storm outside, happy in the thought that we were nice and dry inside. Then things changed, starting with drips from the ceiling, turning into pouring water from up above, the water was rapidly flooding into the cafe from the rest of the building. The staff were amazing and calm, helping where they could as the exits were becoming the increasingly impassable as water gushed in. It took about 20 minutes to be able to leave safely, and in that the the staff kept a brave face and kept doing what they could in such a situation Hats off to them. The owners should be proud to have such dedicated staff.s.”
