After a super breakfast in your coffee shop and restaurant I had a small list of items I needed help with – bamboo problems, feeding orchids, potting on bird of paradise. Just wanted you to know what wonderful service received from several of your Team. Well done. A credit to you. Thank you to all for help.

I would just like to say how appreciative my husband and I were today of the excellent service we received from a young man who assisted us in the purchase of some wooden outside furniture. He was super helpful in showing us how big the box was holding the flat pack furniture and then took it through the till and helped load it into the car all with a cheerful attitude. Also staff in the restaurant provided an excellent service too. So thank you and we will continue to return.

My wife and I visited this centre on the 11th. December. We are from Essex but when in Kent on a previous occasion we had visited the Tenterden branch and now tried Canterbury centre. What a delight to experience the friendly, helpful staff with a seriously good stock and layout and, of course the cafe. It's so easy to complain but we felt that praise should be given where due. Hello, Yesterday, my friends and l enjoyed the best Christmas dinner and puddings by far. So much on our plates we struggled to eat it all. Meat and veggies cooked to perfection. All staff were polite and cheery making our visit highly enjoyable. Thank you

Myself and my family went for breakfast at Hamstreet today. The new cafe is great, and all staff were happy, helpful and friendly. Look forward to going back. Well done and keep up the good work!

I visited the garden centre this morning with my almost three year old daughter to get lunch and have a look around (she ended up buying wrapping paper for her own birthday presents!). My email is about the staff at the garden centre as you really do have an outstanding team working for you, We didn’t realise there was a Halloween event on and so the car park was rammed, but the two men marshalling were so friendly and upbeat, despite being up against it and in the cold. Next, the ladies serving at the cafe were just wonderful and so friendly and helpful (especially as my daughter is allergic to dairy, so I had to go slightly off-menu). It was incredibly busy in the cafe, but not one member of staff was flustered or rude. We ended up sharing a table with two older ladies who were really friendly and chatty. My daughter decided to join in the Halloween craft activities by the aquarium and the lady running this was also super lovely, followed by an equally lovely lady on the checkout. The garden centre was really clean and mess-free, the displays were fantastic and well thought-out and the atmosphere was really positive. Overall, the food was really good (my only small criticism is that my vegan burger wasn’t great as it was very dry and I didn’t eat much of it, but they were super busy and did a good job to get it out as quick as they did - wouldn’t put me off eating there again). We visit relatively often and the staff are always lovely, but I just felt they went above and beyond today, despite being up to their eyeballs and really kept their cool and positive spirit.

My friend and I visited Canterbury Garden Centre today, 22/10/2025 and enjoyed an all day breakfast, we sat at table No.8 in the corner, we had a lot of catching up to do as we hadn't seen each other for a while. I ended up spending to much money on a garden ornament, not complaining though, I enjoyed spending it! We will be visiting again soon

On Wednesday of this week, a friend and I visited your garden centre. I am an ex-retailer and must congratulate you and your staff on a superbly laid out business Christmas was being created but this did not hinder the rest of the displays in your gift department. I stopped and spoke with an assistant called Caroline. She thought I was going to complain about something and was delighted when I congratulated her on the whole ambience of the gift department. In talking to her I discovered that she was in charge of this side of the garden centre. The choice of plants is amazing.. something for every size of pocket. All looked so healthy. We then went to your restaurant and had a delicious lunch. It was a delightful retail experience. Thank you

We visited your restaurant on Monday. We were served by Sue G. We felt Sue's Customer service was excellent. She helped with our menu selection and made practical suggestions. We arrived at 11:30, being the changeover time from breakfast to lunchtime menus. Sue went to find out whether it was still possible to order from the breakfast menu, then found us menus and then spotted where we were sitting . . . all with a cheerful and helpful attitude. I realised that she didn’t have to do any of these things and thought it worthy to draw to your attention.

My wife and I visited you Tenterden Centre on Saturday and in her words “this is the best garden centre I have been to in years”! We purchased some plants and had some lunch. Your staff were all brilliant and very engaging, from advice in your plant area, to lunch and the gentle prompt to download your app and finally at the tills. A wonderful experience as a customer and one I thought you maybe interested to hear about.

I just wanted to extend my gratitude to the staff in the Tenterden cafe who made my early mothers day visit so special for my mother, the staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble, the food, service and cleanliness are always 1st class and mum was extremely pleased with her surprise plant gift. My brother was also very impressed and had no idea how big and how much variety you had in store, he's planning to download your app and will be visiting again. Kind regards to you and your team

Just a quick message to thank the restaurant staff who served us so well on Sunday. I brought my Mum for Mothering Sunday lunch and had a very enjoyable experience. The food was very tasty and plentiful with the cauliflower cheese actually tasting really cheesy, not what you normally expect! Whilst we couldn’t eat a full pudding the waitress suggested a portion of ice cream which was an excellent finish. Unfortunately we cannot remember the name of the waitress but she was very attentive without being disruptive. It was also very good value for money. Many thanks.
