This role requires in-depth horticultural knowledge, along with proven experience in garden centre retail or retail environments, enabling you to lead from the front and deliver a first-class customer experience

The successful candidate must have:

- A creative attitude towards plant retailing to deliver consistently high standards of merchandising and displays
- Meticulous attention to detail
- In-depth plant, pest & disease knowledge

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team, full-time, at Hamstreet Garden Centre. This role is based in Hamstreet, with the requirement to divide time between Tenterden and Hamstreet Garden Centres, providing support to both locations while overseeing warehouse stock management.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the EPoS Manager, you will ensure efficient stock control processes, including:

• Monitoring stock availability and movement.
• Identifying and reporting stock discrepancies and wastage.
• Assisting with audits and company-wide stocktakes.
• Maintaining accurate records, processing credits, and managing sales orders.
• Supporting goods in/out and assisting store colleagues.
• Implementing corrective actions where standards fall short.
• Ensuring effective communication across departments.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in stock control or inventory management (preferred).
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in stock systems and EPoS software (desirable).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
