Due to ongoing site expansion and development, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plant Area Manager to join and help lead our plant team at Folkestone Garden Centre.
Grovewell Garden Centres are known for delivering excellent, expert customer care alongside high-quality, well-maintained plants. As part of our team, we’re looking for someone who shares our passion for gardening and takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards.
This role requires in-depth horticultural knowledge, along with proven experience in garden centre retail or retail environments, enabling you to lead from the front and deliver a first-class customer experience
The successful candidate must have:
- A creative attitude towards plant retailing to deliver consistently high standards of merchandising and displays
- Meticulous attention to detail
- In-depth plant, pest & disease knowledge
- An eye for detail, excellent housekeeping and stock control management
- A passion for customer service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead, train and motivate the team
- Enthusiasm for horticulture, flexible, highly motivated and commercially aware
This is a full-time position and will include weekend and Bank Holiday working. Please note this is a physically demanding, manual role
