We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hospitality Manager to lead our restaurant team at Folkestone Garden Centre.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of our busy restaurant and kitchen operation. You will ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety and presentation, while delivering excellent customer service and leading your team by example.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the smooth running of the restaurant and kitchens
- Lead, support and motivate the hospitality team
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Drive consistently high standards of customer service
- Manage service confidently during busy periods
About You:
- Previous hospitality management experience is essential

As Lead Chef, you will oversee the daily running of our kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation and hygiene. You will lead by example, cooking a wide range of freshly made dishes from our extensive menu and supporting the team during peak service.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and motivating the kitchen team
• Cooking and preparing fresh food to order
• Ensuring excellent food hygiene and safety practices
• Managing stock, ordering and kitchen organisation
• Supporting menu development and specials planning
• Maintaining smooth service in a busy environment
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has proven experience as a Lead Chef, Head Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie looking to step up
• Holds (or is working towards) NVQ Level 2/3 in catering or equivalent
• Understands and upholds food safety and HACCP practices
• Can manage a kitchen team with confidence and clarity
• Works efficiently under pressure

A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is beneficial, but we offer full in-house training if required.

We are seeking a proactive, highly organised, and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team, full-time, at Hamstreet Garden Centre. This role is based in Hamstreet, with the requirement to divide time between Tenterden and Hamstreet Garden Centres, providing support to both locations while overseeing warehouse stock management.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the EPoS Manager, you will ensure efficient stock control processes, including:
• Monitoring stock availability and movement.
• Identifying and reporting stock discrepancies and wastage.
• Assisting with audits and company-wide stocktakes.
• Maintaining accurate records, processing credits, and managing sales orders.
• Supporting goods in/out and assisting store colleagues.
• Implementing corrective actions where standards fall short.
• Ensuring effective communication across departments.
Skills & Experience
• Experience in stock control or inventory management (preferred).
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in stock systems and EPoS software (desirable).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
